The coronavirus pandemic has impacted the lives of people and businesses across the globe and across all sectors – but I think it would be hard to find an industry hit harder than hospitality.
When the bread and butter of your business is guests, and you are restricted from opening your doors to them, it is no wonder there are many in the sector feeling the strain.
That’s why we are supporting Hospitality Action, to give a helping hand to those finding lockdown a struggle.
Here, John Mullen, RoomRaccoon’s UK & Ireland Country Manager, explains how the new partnership will work.
Hospitality Action was established in 1837 and provides support for people working in the sector who have suffered a setback – be that mental health issues, financial difficulty or family problems.
When times are tough, Hospitality Action is there to help get you back on your feet. To aid the charity in providing its vital lifeline, we are proud to be donating the value of one month’s subscription to the charity every time a customer takes a demo and signs up our property management system.
This money will go straight to those who need it, giving families the ability to weather the storm and get their lives back on track.
With the roadmap out of lockdown published recently by the UK Government, there now appears to be a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel – a way forward out of the pandemic.
Although there has been no tougher time for the hospitality industry, there is also no tougher sector, so I am hugely optimistic better days are ahead of us.
We hope our contribution to Hospitality Action will help give people the chance they need to pull through the pandemic and come back even stronger when the country fully reopens.
