The owners of a family-run Victorian guest house in Inverness say automating their bookkeeping has freed up their time to concentrate on what is most important – their guests.

Federica and Andrea Miola run the Coos Guest House, a beautiful nine-bedroom villa within walking distance of the Highland capital’s city centre.

The couple say RoomRaccoon’s innovative property management system has simplified the running of their business, giving them time to concentrate on giving guests the best service possible.

Federica said: “What we try to do with our guests is offer a truly tailor-made service, a more personal feel – a home away from home.

“The guest house is owned by me and my husband, so it is a family-run business and we completely restored it in 2019 when we opened.

Despite having a difficult time recently due to the pandemic – seeing their guest house go from fully booked to empty in a matter of days when the lockdown struck – Federica says they have used the time to improve.

“One nice thing we are trying to do is to offer the most local service with as much local produce as possible,” she said. “For example, our breakfasts come from local suppliers – all the eggs, milk and meat are from local suppliers.

“We want to be involved in the community and make it sustainable.”

The guest house has been open for business since April 26.
